Ever tried drawing from a nude model? It’s an experience one usually encounters in art school or on a sinking ship in the North Atlantic. If this is your first time working with a nude model, we are honored to host you. Not all of us can draw like Leonardo, but there is only one way to train the eye: practice, practice, practice. There is minimal instruction, just drop in and draw. Painting is also encouraged. It is our goal at Clay Collective to make figure studies something you can do on the regular in Boise, Idaho.

Yes, unfortunately our figure studies sessions are only for those 18+ years of age.

No. This is a class for all levels.

Sign up online and show up 5-10 minutes prior to class to find a comfortable spot in class. There is no instruction, there is only a nude model and a timer. Models do a series of long and short poses. Fast gestural drawings lasting 1-5 minutes and longer poses from 10-20 minutes in length.

Yes! Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to make sure there is enough room in class. Doors lock and curtains close at 6:05 to ensure the models privacy.

Photos of the models are not allowed. We allow students to photograph artwork in progress as long as models are not present in the room. To respect the privacy of the model photos and social media tags are prohibited.

We understand that things come up last minute. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a full refund. If you need to cancel within the 48 hour timeframe, your ticket is no longer refundable. All cases are unique. If there is a serious conflict, or emergency please contact us and we will work with you.
